If you’re a fan of “Breaking Bad” or “Better Call Saul”, then you’re already familiar with The Dog House, a favourite location for both shows.
An Albuquerque institution since the 1960’s, it’s glorious, animated neon sign is a must see, especially for those on a route 66 road trip. (by the way - by “animated”, I mean that when the sun goes down and the neon is turned on, the dog wags his tail and chews on a string of sausages - oh happy days)
The Dog House is a complete throwback to the Route 66 heyday of car travel. A server comes to your car and takes your order, and you can eat in your car or at one of the outdoor tables nestled under the neon sign.
Eat the hot dog, buy the t-shirt, photograph the iconic neon sign.
