Originally called the "La Mirada Drive-In Movie Theatre", this glorious relic of days gone by first opened in 1953.
Built on 18 acres, with a 1000 car capacity, it was the largest drive-in theatre in America.
In 1965 the theatre pioneered the idea of holding a Sunday Swap Meet on the grounds and has held a Sunday Swap meet ever since. In fact, the drive-in screened its last film in 1990, but the swap meet continues on, most days of the week.
The decommissioned drive in also hosts music acts on Saturday nights.
But for us, it's all about the enormous glorious vintage signage that faces the street.
You can see it from the Santa Ana Freeway, but please don’t crash the car!
