The Safari Inn, minutes from Warner Brothers Studios, must have one of the most filmed, and most iconic neon signs of all time.
It has appeared in dozens of films and Tv episodes, from Quentin Tarantino’s “True Love” to an episode of “The Partridge Family”
The building itself, built in 1955, still retains it retro kookiness, with its crazy paving walls, and huge space age succulent potted plants.
We spent a night in one of the no frills rooms. The highlight was the zebra pattern bed cover. (if I had to pick a second highlight ….. well…. it had a hair dryer)
You don’t need to spend the night to enjoy the glory of The Safari Inn - the fabulous sign and building are easily seen from the street.
