One of our favourite neon signs in the whole wide world is arguably the most iconic neon in all of Las Vegas - neon cowboy, Vegas Vic.
And in Laughlin, a lesser-known Nevada casino city, lives his slightly less glamorous and slightly dilapidated brother River Rick.
Vegas Vic has lived on Fremont Street in Las Vegas since 1951. His twin brother River Rick was built in 1981 and resides above the Pioneer Gambling Hall on the River Walk along the Colorado River in Laughlin.
Although we usually recommend visiting neon signs at night, if possible, River Rick’s neon is regularly in disrepair, so a daytime visit might be his most glamorous time of day.
There are only a few differences between Vegas Vic and River Rick, including their cowboy boots, hats, and positioning of their arms.
If you find yourself in Laughlin, River Rick is a must see.
