The giant cats head is a 10-foot-tall public artwork named “Snowball in Vegas” by artist Jesse Smigel.
As owners of our own ginger kitty, he had us at meow.
Snowball was commissioned by the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission as the inaugural sculpture for the First Street Art Trail and was unveiled in 2014.
Snowball’s cartoony features were designed to be a public photo op and became instantly popular, earning the artist a “Best Public Artist” in Las Vegas award.
